Jonathan M. Katz and the Atlantic are trying to control free speech on Substack. But I won't let them.
The Atlantic has a 100 year history of using propaganda and Katz is just the newest unoriginal mouthpiece, however, they never expected us.
Swastikas, Aryans, and Nazis, OH MY!
On November 28th, Jonathan M. Katz of the Atlantic and the owner of the Substack publication, (The Racket), wrote a piece for the Atlantic titled Substack Has a Nazi Problem.
This article went viral immediately and caused numerous publishers on Substack to pick sides, but it wasn’t until December 14th that the water boiled over and Katz created Substackers Against Nazis. But more on that in a minute, first lets talk about the Atlantic’s history with the propaganda machine.
How the Propaganda Machine Was Made
In April of 1917, the Committee on Public Information was created by President Woodrow Wilson and run by George Creel, a former journalist. The goal of the CPI was to create propaganda during WWI by drumming up war support for the U.S. against the Germans. During that time it cracked down on journalistic dissent and used every medium available to stop any domestic and foreign anti-war opinions. Even politicians had to keep quiet about their anti-war sentiment; the prime example being William Jennings Bryan.
Shut Up and Get in Line
William Jennings Bryan had been the youngest person to be nominated for President in American history at the age of 36, Bryan was also an accomplished orator, he served in the House of Representatives, and held enormous amounts of power within the Democratic Party. Bryan was loved by the working class in a time where the working class was the Democratic base. However, Bryan had made enemies with the likes of people like J.P. Morgan and also criticized the colonial imperialism of America with the occupation of the Philippines which made him unpopular amongst conservatives. So during the 1912 presidential election, Bryan decided that he wouldn’t run for a fourth time, however, he realized that he could appoint an individual whom he could exert influence over, while being safe from direct media criticism. In stepped Woodrow Wilson, the worst president this country has ever seen (yes even worse than Biden).
After winning the election Wilson appointed Bryan as his Secretary of State, the most powerful position in the presidential cabinet. It was from that office that Bryan was able to influence Wilson and prevent him from becoming sympathetic to the Entente’s cause. This worked for about a year or so, but that all changed in March of 1915. The Thrasher Incident as it became known as, occurred when the German U-boat, U-28, sank the British passenger vessel, R.M.S. Falaba, killing Leon Thrasher, an American citizen. This incident infuriated Wilson, but it was the sinking of the British passenger vessel, R.M.S. Lusitania, which killed 128 Americans in the month of May, that nearly lead us into war. However, Bryan’s rational thinking prevented us from emotionally declaring war with the Central Powers. Luckily, Bryan read the situations correctly and had this to say:
"an American citizen can, by putting his own business above his regard for this country, assume for his own advantage unnecessary risks and thus involve his country in international complications.”
Though Bryan may have prevented the U.S. from entering the war at that time, he couldn’t control Wilson any longer. Wilson had jumped on the ever growing war wagon and sent an official message of protest to Germany while still refusing to warn the American populace of the dangers of traveling on British ships. Seeing that he could no longer sway Wilson, on June 8th, 1915, he resigned as Secretary of State. Bryan would go on to endorse Wilson and his “anti-war” platform in the 1916 election but it was clear that Bryan was no longer able to exert influence like he had in the past, and thus he had to fall in line.
They’ve Cancelled People Before
One of the first people to feel the brunt of mainstream media during this time was Randolph Bourne, a left wing journalist. Bourne was unique for a couple of reasons; he was a progressive thinker, but he also saw exactly how the government was trying to gain control over every facet of American life. Upon writing against the machine, Bourne was blacklisted from every mainstream media organization, singled out by his former professor and progressive thought leader, John Dewey, and he was ridiculed for his physical deformities; often accused of being lame of mind because of his hunchback and deformed face. Bourne would die during the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918, blacklisted but not defeated. He is most remembered for his last piece of work which was unfinished, “The State”, in which he left us with this anti-war quote “war is the health of the state.”
The Atlantic is the Propaganda Machine
If you’re not familiar with the Atlantic, well you must be new to the world of disinformation. You see the Atlantic is to news what Goebbels was to propaganda. The Atlantic was one of the many mainstreams organizations that did not resist the Wilson Administration and reaped massive benefits from government collusion (something they still do today). When the United States entered WWI and the CPI was founded in April of 1917, the Atlantic’s April edition featured an open letter to the spoils of war. Waiting, written by then owner and editor of the Atlantic, Ellery Sedgwick, promoted the benefits of this war for the American people from his very opening line:
“The war has brought America great prosperity. Some hundreds of our citizens have gained great fortunes, some thousands have two dollars to spend where once one sufficed. A hundred millions of us, it is true, have to pay half as much again for the necessities of life. But the sense of money is everywhere. The papers teem with the printed billions of the stock market, and editors flatter their readers with the massive figures of our export trade.”
By July 1917, the propaganda was in full swing as the Atlantic published it’s monthly edition with its priority on the war. Nearly every single article was about the war and why America had to fight. Although there is one up there that deserves mention and that is Individual Liberty and Public Control by Bertrand Russell.
The article written by Russell would call out certain elements within the United States government as well as in his home country of Great Britain. Russell was a well known intellectual and pacifist who believed that America should not get involved in the war, and after writing this piece for the Atlantic, Russell was arrested in Britain for intervening in foreign diplomacy. Ellery Sedgwick’s article Waiting and the fact that his magazine worked hand and hand with the U.S. government’s propaganda machine, makes it reasonable to suspect that allowing Russell to contribute his writings was a political move to shut him up.
The Machine’s Atrocity Propaganda Created the Nazis
You’re probably thinking…*woah wait a gosh darn minute*. And you would be well in your right to question what I am about to say, but it is really important that you read this carefully and understand the truth. The United States created the Nazis! There I said it. Okay now that I have put that out in the open, I can explain.
You might not have heard of atrocity propaganda but it is the worst form of propaganda, something the Entente excelled at during WWI and something that the Nazis would later adopt. Now, in WWI it is important to understand that there was propaganda on both sides, however, Entente propaganda was the worst. Examples like the Crucified Soldier, the German Corpse Factories, and over exaggeration of the Rape of Belgium, were all proliferated through mainstream propaganda to vilify and create fanatic war fervor. We started calling the Germans “Huns” and the Kaiser was considered the spawn of Satan, but neither of those could be further from the truth.
To summarize an entire war into a paragraph, lets just say this; Arch-Duke Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated by a Serbian Nationalist; Austria declared war on Serbia with the backing of their ally, Germany; Russia joined the war on the side of Serbia; Germany mobilized against Russia and France decided to defend its ally; Germany moved troops into Luxembourg and asked Belgium for military access; Belgium refused despite having a guarantee from Britain; Germany dusted off the old Schlieffen Plan and invaded Belgium; Britain reluctantly joined the Entente; Italy joins the Entente and rushes Trento; Germany started Russia’s Communist Revolution (Lol, Germany had that on stand by) causing Russia to lose control of its own government; Russia exits the war and Poland becomes a thing again; et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, lets get to the important part; America (after years of supplying Entente forces with war supplies and promulgating war rhetoric) joins the war after the Germans send the Zimmerman Telegraph to Mexico (which was a very clever plan actually); America kicks ass and then Wilson gets to control the peace talks. Thus starting the rise of the Nazis.
Okay I am probably skipping over a huge chunk of history so let’s do this again; Wilson exerts massive influence over the peace talks, infuriating all of the Central Powers; Austria is dismantled and made into a “Democracy” (That’s going to be common occurrence in modern American history); the Kaiser was forced to abdicate and flee the country due to protests; France has post nut clarity and realizes they went too far so they try and support the new provisional German government against the German Communists; Britain sits back and laughs after using covert means to bolster the Communists to topple the German monarchy; Hitler comes back from the war like many other veterans and feels betrayed; the Weimar Republic is made under the control of the German Old Guard (effectively an Entente puppet state and also a Democracy); Germany loses all of its colonial possessions and parts of its homeland that has been German for hundreds of years; Germany and the other Central Powers are in deep debt; Germany is no longer allowed to enjoy many of the freedoms it had; Germany can’t step into its backyard (Rhineland is demilitarized); the Ottoman Empire (which I had previously forgot to mention) ceases to exist and becomes a (you guessed it) Democracy; Hungary is ripped apart and loses the majority of its country (some areas were a part of Hungary for 900 years) after the Treaty of Trianon in 1922 (France has the feeling of unrequited love, look up the House of Anjou and Hungary); Italy which wasn’t given everything it was promised in the war, wants redemption; Mussolini comes to power; Hitler leads the Nazis to power; et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
The most important thing to take away for this article is the fact that the Atlantic was a part of the machine that toppled the German Empire so America could play Hearts of Iron IV in 20 years. And the most ironic part of the failings of the propaganda machine is that when Hitler rose to power and his atrocities were exposed by the mainstream media, no one believed them. In fact before our entry into WWII (I can imagine Churchill saying “Thank God for Pearl Harbour”), Hitler and Mussolini were incredibly popular among Americans despite mainstream media trying to shift the conversation back to their boy Franklin Delano Roosevelt. When that didn’t work they reused the same tactics that they had used before to control the population. Which by that time the Nazis were using and ironically enough, beating the American propaganda machine with. (Thanks for sticking in there buddy, I know its been a long ride but now we can bring it on home well.)

The Atlantic Has a Nazi Problem
(Before we begin with this segment, shout out to the Atlantic for gifting me a free article, couldn’t have picked a better guy. You fucking idiots, get wrecked.)
This whole controversy started with Jonathan Katz and has spiraled into a whole lot of nonsense that needs to be addressed, so lets do that. Katz is trying to control free speech in the name of virtue signaling for moral superiority and ending thoughtcrime on Substack. Well more importantly, the Machine is trying to control free speech for the W.E.F.’s cultural Marxist agenda, and Jonathan Katz is their cock sleeve, I mean mouthpiece. You see, the Machine uses their patented system of ejaculating their loads of thick hot garbage into their mouthpieces. These mouthpieces then spit this out into the ether hoping to attract other bottoms, and then the cycle repeats. There is another type of Leftist like Kamala Harris that swallows instead of spitting this stuff out so she can talk out of her ass later. I haven’t been able to determine if Katz is the latter, I’ll have to ask Matt Taibbi about that one (also has anyone else noticed that Taibbi’s Substack is called Racket News, must be a coincidence).
The Meat and Potatoes and the Rest of the Stew
Alright compliments aside, were going to get into the meat and potatoes of the Atlantic article. So firstly Katz makes the obvious claim that Substack will play a big hand in the upcoming 2024 election. I mean that’s just a given, seeing how they allow free speech and most people on this site are not fans of old Cornpop hating Brandon (Cornpop was trying to save those kids from being molested and you’re not going to change my mind). Katz then brings up Substack’s terms of service which are supposed to prevent the spread of hate speech. Well I hate to tell you mate, but that’s not why they put them there. Clearly they put that up there to shut you up. Frankly I think it’s clever to put that up there and then not follow through with any hate speech moderation, it’s kind of like their conscientious objectors. He then brings up the fact that pornography is banned and not these Nazis… mate, pornography isn’t free speech, just ask your Democrat buddy who got fired for having his back blown out in congress.
Katz also wants moderation to return to the way things used to be with Twitter, before that supposed anti-Semitic Elon Musk bought it. Katz is shocked that Twitter doesn’t collude with the government like the Atlantic does, or like how Twitter used to collude with the government before Elon bought it.
Katz illuminates us with this amazing statement that certainly doesn’t ruin his whole argument:
“These are, to be sure, a tiny fraction of the newsletters on a site that had more than 17,000 paid writers as of March, according to Axios, and has many other writers who do not charge for their work. But to overlook white-nationalist newsletters on Substack as marginal or harmless would be a mistake.”
Substack has more than 2 million active users with 17,000 publications (subscribe to Liberty Magazine if you’re not gay) and get this, according to Katz, “At least 16 of the newsletters that I reviewed have overt Nazi symbols” these include the swastika and the sonnenrad. Wow, 16 out 17,000 is not a lot. I mean either Katz did what every modern day journalist does and had an unpaid intern do the research for him, or for one out of every 1,062.5 publications there is a sieg heil. Honestly though, that’s not a problem Pussy Katz, that’s embarassing.
Okay so then Katz talks about how many of these people are problematic and making money from their supporters. Apparently former white nationalist Richard Spencer could be making at least $9,000 dollars a year (I mean really…$9,000 dollars, go touch grass) from his publication which Substack stands to profit from (wow $900). By the way that’s not a whole lot considering he coined the term “Alt-Right” which was a huge thing during Trump’s first term. Spencer should have more brand recognition, but here lies the problem, he’s not a very good white nationalist. You see the reason why Spencer lost media attention was because he was a hypocrite. Spencer might have talked a white pride game in the streets, but in the sheets he was talking more of a kung pao chicken kind of game. Alright lets move on from Spencer and the 16 other publications which may or may not have thousands of subscribers depending on whatever bullshit Katz is talking about. It all gets repetitive honestly, so I will be skipping a bunch of stuff.
The Great Replacement Theory
Katz has the audacity to claim that the “Great Replacement Theory” isn’t real. Mate, Enoch Powell was talking about this in the 1970s with Dick Cavett. And in this video he destroyed Cavett and Jonathan Miller on the very subject, however, in our time it's not just an occurrence it’s a government policy.
Then Katz brings up…man this is hilarious. Then Katz brings up a Neo-Nazi group from New England called the People’s Initiative of New England which is a front for NSC-131. Now there’s two reasons why I find this hilarious, firstly the P.I.N.E. wants to create a white ethno-state out of New England. Y’all you can’t make this shit up. If anyone is from or has been to New England (shout out NH, Live Free or Die), good luck, there are immigrants flooding the major cities. Granted I kind of get where these guys are coming from, the immigrants have not assimilated and neither they nor the state want them to. In fact they have destroyed every single neighborhood they have touched. If you don’t believe me, head on down to Lawrence, MA and tell me it’s not the immigrants. You might be reading this and thinking, “wait is this guy the white nationalist that Katz was talking about,” no I’m far worse, I’m autistic.
The Second reason why this is hilarious to me is because when I was an investigative journalist, I covered NSC-131’s prosecution at the hands of New Hampshire’s Attorney General, John Formella. Long story short, the judge sided with the NSC-131 guys for using public property to display a racist banner, Formella was mad and vowed his vengeance or whatever, and tried to re-prosecute them…which shows you where New Hampshire is at in terms of wokeness.
Moderation Is Best Done By Communities Not Companies
Katz wants more moderation on Substack and that’s without a doubt. Just read this quote:
“When tech platforms are quick to banish posters, partisans of all stripes have an incentive to accuse their opponents of being extremists in an effort to silence them. But when platforms are too permissive, they risk being overrun by bigots, harassers, and other bad-faith actors who drive away other users, as evidenced by the rapid erosion of Twitter, now X, under Musk.”
It’s pretty clear to me that Katz doesn’t just want moderation, which Twitter has by the way (trust me they have suspended and shadow banned my account dozens of times), Katz wants moderation for people he feels aren’t worthy of having a voice, and by “he” I mean George Soros and Klaus Schwab. The world is filled with bigots, harassers and bad-faith actors who drive away other users, and he should know, he’s the very thing that he’s crying about.
Katz even admits:
“Ultimately, the First Amendment gives publications and platforms in the United States the right to publish almost anything they want. But the same First Amendment also gives them the right to refuse to allow their platform to be used for anything they don’t want to publish or host.”
Now the problem here is the very fact that Substack has given us, the readers, the writers, the informed people, to moderate our own feeds. We don’t have to see anything we don’t want to and if we do want to see it, we will. You have no right to control free speech in the name of virtue signaling for moral superiority and ending thoughtcrime on Substack.
Then Katz says this:
“I myself am a substacker. I started my newsletter in 2019, at a time when the platform was known for hosting freelance journalists and bloggers, many on the left and center-left, attracted by the promise of a new way to scrape together a living amid the collapse of the journalism industry. McKenzie, in fact, personally encouraged me to join Substack. Along the way he offered suggestions about possible names for my newsletter and topics I could cover, and facilitated introductions to other journalists on the platform. I didn’t get any money up front from the platform, but for one year in the middle of my tenure, the company provided me with a part-time editor and podcast producer.”
So the girl you’re mad at, McKenzie, asked you to join the platform, helped you make connections with other journalists, gave you leads for your articles, and even provided you with an editor and producer…I know I jokingly called you Pussy Katz earlier, but I didn’t realize how much of cunt you really were until right now. Alright so I’m just moving on from the Atlantic article, at this point it just repeats itself and provides other examples of the things I just talked about. Also I just accidentally closed out of that tab and I lost my gift article (well shucks).
Substackers Against Nazis or S.A.N.
After the release of Katz’s hot new track, Katz was clearly feeling the moral superiority. However, on December 13th, Elle Griffin from the Elysian released the equivalent of Eminem’s Killshot to MGK’s Rap Devil, and bodied Katz. Her words were eloquent and precise, she brought up fantastic points and poignant thoughts worthy of consideration. However, the best thing she did was create a network of people who rallied against Katz’s attempt at pressuring Substack for censorship. And since the 13th, 1,254 people have come out to support her, many of them are from that group of 17,000 writers like her and I. The support was overwhelming so Katz had to quickly retaliate with his own version.
On December 14th, Katz released the titled article, Substackers Against Nazis. And boy oh boy, is it sad. Since Katz is angry with Substack because Hamish McKenzie (well that’s a weird name for a fat chick) dared to allow a differing opinion to be shared on Substack, which you can’t do and expect not to come under attack from the Left. Katz decided to rally his avengers in the form of pedophiles, desperate people, and the undeniably pathological (I’m not even being remotely hyperbolic; more on that in a minute), in order to save the Substack from becoming a Nazi Bar. Which is funny because I had never heard that term before, so I clicked the link he used and it’s literally from Urban dictionary. Now that is either Phisto Sobanii levels of trolling or Johnathan is retarded. I don’t know, you decide.
Thank you tariqk for providing us with such an illuminating definition of a made up term (by the way the first thing that pops up when you click on tariqk’s Urban dictionary link is a definition for NPC). Also why did he mention meth-heads, PUAs (pickup artists), and crypto guys? I mean I don’t think he is clever enough to make a Hitler reference with the meth-head thing, also the pickup artist and crypto guy thing is a little out of pocket. Sure, I mean I’m not a fan of either. I think pickup artists are creeps and I think crypto guys should shut up about their personality type being a digital commodity, but they aren’t Nazis. This only goes to further my point about how anyone they don’t like or agree with is considered a Nazi.
Neo-Confederates Get Added to the List
Moving on from our boy tariqk, Katz also expands his former identification of Substack’s problem of Nazis and white nationalists to include Neo-Confederates. Now I don’t want to be the carpetbagger here but being a Neo-Confederate doesn’t mean you’re racist. Case and point, Nathan Bedford Forrest or the Wizard of the Saddle, might have been the former Confederate that founded the Klu Klux Klan, but he was also the guy that disbanded the KKK, and not because it was unpopular. Forrest had a change of heart and eventually offered to round up anyone lynching black people and bring them to justice. In fact, his last public speaking event was basically at a Black barbeque. Essentially Forrest was the white friend that black people wanted talking to the cops. The history of the Confederacy is complex and people like Forrest and Robert E. Lee are shining examples of good men are are unfairly judged or treated as unforgivable. Also have you noticed as time goes on, the list starts to get bigger? Soon enough, they’ll be going after black guys like HK Edgerton.
Back to the Task at Hand
Anyway back to the main cause of this sex offender avenger union that Katz summoned. Hamish McKenzie (I am now being told that’s a guy; sorry I’m an investigative journalist, and I use the same unpaid intern as Johnathan Katz), who hosted a man on his podcast named Richard Hanania. Now Hanania has a doctorate of political science from the University of Chicago Law School and is well spoken but highly controversial. Hanania, who is as anti-woke as someone can get, is also one that isn’t narrow minded. The thing about Hanania is that he’s also a fan of mainstream media, and has given props to liberals for their culture war tactics. Not you’re typical right wing ideologue now is he?
And while it is true that there are actual Nazis and white nationalists on Substack, and it is true that many of them do actually make money on Substack, the Left decided to single out Richard Spencer and Richard Hanania. Here’s the thing, Spencer hasn’t been culturally relevant for almost 10 years and Hanania can’t be a Nazi or white nationalist if he openly supports Israel. Now what is funny about these two guys in particular is that they both support Jews. What is hilarious to me is that Spencer said in a 2016 lecture, that he openly supported Jews joining his proposed white ethno-state because he considered them white. I’m not a Nazi but one would think that since they perpetrated the Holocaust, that they wouldn’t be too keen on letting “kikes” join the club.
So anyway, Katz decided to send out a collective letter in order to pressure the founders of Substack, Christ Best, Hamish McKenzie, and clearly not a Nazi, Jairaj Sethi (Although, one can never be sure now a days, I mean HK Edgerton is clearly the black face of Nazism, not to be confused with the black face of white supremacy, Larry Elder). Every leftist and uninformed individual got together to copy and paste Katz’s ultimatum to their publications. The amount of virtue signaling is nauseating. And as of the time of this writing, 232 people have signed this newsletter. You can find the number of signatories, here. Why don’t we take a look at some of the people that signed to support Johnathan Katz and his Gestapo?
Sex offenders, Attention whores, and the Neurologically retarded.
S.A.N. as Katz’s group is now called consists of many different types of people, meaning that they all believe in horrible things (not just censorship).
Noah Berlatsky
First on the docket is Noah Berlatsky (the Jewish face of N.A.M.B.L.A., not to be confused with the other Jewish face of N.A.M.B.L.A., Allen Ginsberg). Noah is a freelance journalist that has worked with the Atlantic before and currently has a Substack called Everything is Horrible. Berlatsky has a history of believing in horrible things and doing even worse things; from trans-ing his son to allowing his gender-queer wife to sleep with other men (thank you KatHighsmith with providing the link). But the worst thing he ever did was support a bunch of pedophiles in a group called Prostasia, which my pal over at The Library of Celaeno points out in this Substack note:
Here are the links that he' mentioned:
Noah isn’t just a pedophile, he’s also the very fascist that he thinks we all are. If you’re conservative and against kids having their genitals mutilated, well he wants you censored and out of the public eye, so he can keep living out a fetish.
Nathan Sager
Nathan Sager is an unemployed man that really needs a job. He’s desperate, and in fact, he’s willing to do anything to get a job. Like supporting Katz and S.A.N. by using his publication to further spread the word about how virtuous and amazing he is in the face of NAZIS! Here’s an example of Sager’s desperation to be relevant:
All I can say is happy hunting with the job opportunities buddy. You definitely aren’t going to be the inspiration for a Falling Down reboot.
Britni de la Cretaz
Lastly we have Britni de la Cretaz, otherwise known as Frankie de la Cretaz (apparently she’s queer now, go figure.) Cretaz writes the publication Out of Your League (it looks like her league is Major League Eating), which covers queer sports and pop culture…how riveting. Cretaz has been writing for sometime, in fact her big break was an article where she dunked on her own husband and basically called him unattractive. She even wrote the riveting article What It’s Like To Have Genital Herpes When You’re Pregnant.
Here’s the link to the article detailing everything as well as some screenshots below:
Cretaz also uses an image of Lena Dunham, to further one of her points in the article, showing either her lack of knowledge of Dunham, or worse, her acceptance and support of Dunham. I should explain for those uninitiated with Dunham. She’s a most grotesque monster who wrote in her 2014 book “Not That Kind of Girl” that she molested her sister, Cyrus, when Dunham was seven and Cyrus was one. This behavior continued as they grew up but it was unwanted by Cyrus. Dunham then resorted to bribery to manipulate her sister in order to continue having sexual relations. Thankfully conservative reporter Kevin Williamson from the National Review read the book and exposed her. Here’s an excerpt from the Wikipedia page on Dunham’s book along with the link:
“In November 2014, Dunham and the book became a subject of controversy following a profile of Dunham by conservative political commentator Kevin D. Williamson published in National Review. In her book, Dunham describes examining her sibling Cyrus's genitals when they were children out of curiosity, bribing them with candy for kisses and casually masturbating while lying in bed next to them. Williamson characterizes this as sexual abuse, but Lena, Cyrus, and child psychologists, sexual abuse experts, and researchers in human sexuality have rejected this notion.”
Notice the references on Wikipedia covering this book and its controversy don’t bother to list Williamson’s article. That’s in order to control the narrative because they want you to accept this as normal behavior. Williamson did great reporting so I’ll provide the link to his article for you here.
In Summary
To bring this on home, Jonathan Katz and the people that are supporting this movement to try and censor free speech have done this before. They have been doing it for over 100 years and they will continue to do it if you let them. It’s up to people like us to stop them. It doesn’t matter if you’re a small publication like mine or a big publication like Racket News; it’s important to fight back, because they will not stop until everyone is silenced. They hate you and they want to do whatever they tell you to do. You will own nothing and be happy, you will eat bugs and be full, you will work endlessly and be grateful, you will be medicated and be numb.
The only reason Katz and his kind are upset is that they are accustomed to having a megaphone (aka, The Atlantic and such) and telling the rest of us to shut up and listen. We stopped doing that, and they can't have that. They're the experts, dammit, and they will be heeded!
Very well researched and well written, learnt a lot from this article, really enjoyed the parts about the confederates, WWI & WWII. Now I'm not as familiar with the Civil War of the US, any chance you might down the road write some history articles about the war, and how it relates to to-day Samara? I'd be very curious to see what you can dig up.
